It is just really amazing for us to encounter some image galleries that is built in Flash, Php, Ajax, JQuery, and JavaScript that makes us wonder how this people create such an amazing image galleries like this, that inspires us to create one yet we don’t know where to start. There are some image galleries are for free, some are copyright, some are copyleft, and some offer premium image galleries for a fee. I just want to share with you some of the free image galleries that I know that might actually help you to exhibit your works, drawings, and pictures to the internet.
1. dfGallery 2.0 is one of the most popular and coolest free flash image gallery with its new version that really offers beautiful experience due to its application that really offers a lot of features like;
- Embed the Gallery anywhere [Blog, Facebook, Myspace...]
- Themes - Change the layout and the presentation of the gallery [advanced]
- Skins - Simply edit a PNG file to change the whole look if your gallery [Skin guide in the package]
- Flickr - Gets every Flickr album of any user [api key customizable]

2. Imagin is a flash photo gallery that can organize photos into galleries and sub-galleries, and create slideshows from them. Or you can browse in a more html and faster way with mouse wheel.
Imagin works by pointing it to a folder that contains photos, everything else is automatic.

3. Pikachoose is a lightweight Jquery plugin that allows easy presentation of photos with options for slideshows, navigation buttons, and auto play. Pikachoose is designed to be easily installed, easy to setup, and well… all around easy. Creating an image gallery shouldn’t be a complex thing.

4. XML Photo Album automatically develops all of your multimedia files into a portfolio presenter. All you need to do is to sort images,audios(mp3),videos(flv) in your data XML file. Extremely easy!

5. Minishowcase is a small and simple php/javascript online photo gallery, powered by AJAX/JSON that lets you put easily your images in an online gallery, without having to configure databases or changing and customising code (though you may do it if you feel so) allowing to have an up-and-running gallery in a few minutes.

6. FlashFlicker Photo Gallery a photogallery made in Flex2/AS3 using Flickr API.
This application let users to browse your flickr pictures, see your sets, tags and notes.
It’s also implemented the flickr authentication for flickr registered user. In this way registered users can also add comments, tags (if allowed) to your images.
In order to use this photogallery you need to have a flickr api key (put the api and secret keys into the Config.as file).

7. SmoothGallery is one of the most famous image gallery that is always used in some premium wordpress theme for Featured Posts. Using mootools v1.11, this javascript gallery and slideshow system allows you to have simple and smooth (cross-fading…) image galleries, slideshows, showcases and other cool stuff on your website.

8. SlideShow2 is a javascript class for Mootools 1.2 to stream and animate the presentation of images on your website. Slideshow might be used to enhance the presentation of images on your website.

9. BarackSlideshow is an elegant, lightweight Mootools slideshow script inspired from Barack Obama Official Website

10. PhotoDiary 1.0 is a web application developed by Webgriffe which lets you to easily publish a brand new photo blog on the web. The application frontend is built upon Flash technology and data is managed through a dedicated web control panel, developed in PHP.
