Hi everyone now I am back on track again and to give you some Adobe Photoshop Tutorial well I received so many e-mails asking if how did I make the awesome effects in every text here in my site, actually I would like to thank everyone who e-mailed me about this one so here is for you, hope you like it.

Final Outcome of Web 2.0 Text Effects

Instructions:

  • First, create a new document. File  New

    Step 1

  • Type the text that you want and be sure this is your final text because when we proceed to step 3 there is no turning back. Use a font which is BOLD don’t use a font which is to slim because the effect will not be seen.

    Step 2

  • Once you type the text, you will see the layer of your text at the right side just duplicate that layer of your text (Ctrl + J) and name that layer as Shadow Layer and rasterize that layer.

    Step 3

  • Next, Hold CTRL and click the Shadow Layer, you must attain the result below.

    Step 4

  • Then press D then X, you will see that in your color pallete it will give you a White/Black color.
  • After that press Alt + Backspace in order to fill the selection with foreground, you must attain the result below.

    Step 6

  • Use the Elliptical Marquee Tool and make a selection on the Shadow Layer.
  • Step 7

  • Then press Del.
  • On Shadow Layer, change the opacity to 30% or 40%.
  • For finale, Right-click the Original Layer then select “Blending Options”, click on “Stroke” set your size to 2 then click the red box and switch to the color you want. Then Click OK.

    Dear Ayei,

Hi Ate Ayei! This is really cool!
I tried doing it in an image, but I can’t. So humanap ako ng ibang paraan to achieve this effect, and I did. Do you mind if I put a tutorial doing this kind of effect in an image in my site?
